If you haven't done
Pilates you are missing out on an amazing workout!
Why
should I do Pilates?
Pilates will help you in every aspect of your life. Not many exercise methods can say that. Do you hate slouching? Are you tired of not having a strong stomach? Do you get sick easily? Do you want to tone your thighs and lift the glutes?
Pilates will help you improve every one of those areas and a number of others.
You will have better posture which makes you look taller. And the best thing is that you don't even consciously do it. Your back gets so strong that it does it on its own.
You will have strong abs, and I don't know a person that doesn't want to get that out of a workout program. The Pilates ab routines are unlike anything you have ever done. And, the best thing is you do sets of no more than 10!
Your glutes will be stronger, you thighs will be toned, and the list goes on and on. I guarantee that if you try Pilates, you will want to keep doing it, because it works!
The
webmaster's story and Pilates for guys!
The fact of the matter is, that most guys think they are too tough for Pilates. I was in the same situation. I heard the term Pilates and thought that it was just some workout method that girls used and couldn't benefit me.
But I was wrong...
The first time I tried Pilates, I was sore for a while. But the funny thing was that I realized my football, soccer and baseball coaches had already made me do some forms of Pilates in high school practice. So I kept doing it. Then I partnered with Valerie and we came up with doing cardio Pilates classes. The idea behind it was simple. 45 minutes on a mat can be boring. Moreover, I was looking to lose my college drinking weight so I need some cardio too.
Through hours of research and testing we came up with Piladio. Now we want to share Piladio with everyone. It helped me lose 30 lbs in 8 months. Now I have 5.5% body fat and feel like I can do everything I used to in high school plus some.
Try a Piladio workout and you will never go back!
Do
it anywhere!
One of the best things about Pilates is that it trains you how to workout without gym equipment. What that means, is even when you are stuck in a hotel or in a place where you don't have access to a gym, you can get an amazing workout. With my old job I used to travel a lot. I would do Pilates, when I was stuck in hotels without gym equipment. It made me feel great to be able to never miss a workout. I hated that feeling.
Pilates
Fundamentals
Pilates focuses a few core principles:
1. Breathing

3. Centering
4. Flowing Movement
5. Control
6. Concentration
You use your own body weight as resistance. Additionally, you focus on quality of movement over quantity. Concentrating on moving each muscle as you move it allows you to do fewer repetitions with better results. That means less time working out!
